See the Lagos State Law ‘Pretty Mike’ Violated that Got Him Arrested

Reports filtered in today that Club owner, Mike Eze-Nwalie Nwogu was arrested by Lagos Police on the orders of the Lagos State Government for “dehumanizing young girls, turning them into human puppies,” when he walked with them on a leash to a wedding party last weekend.

The Lagos State Governor’s Monitoring Team, who identified Mike as a “suspect” said on Twitter, that he “gave useful statement to the police and was released after given an undertaking to desist from dehumanizing any man/woman.”

“Nwogu admitted knowing his action was against the law, but pledged not to further indulge in such behaviour. Lagos State Government will not tolerate any anti-social behavior that attempt to dehumanize any citizen in the State. The Lagos State Government is committed to the protection of the rights of all citizens including children, women and the vulnerable.”

While Mike has tendered an apology for a “craft that meant well,” as he called it,the attention has been shifted to the law that authorised the police to arrest him.

Nwogu, a 30-year-old club owner in Ikeja area of the State, was arrested on Wednesday by the police on the orders of the Lagos State Govt

The suspect, in pictures which had since gone viral was seen putting leash on young girls and leading them to a wedding in Lagos.

Nwogu gave useful statement to the police and was released after given an undertaking to desist from dehumanizing any man/woman.

Lagos State Government will not tolerate any anti-social behavior that attempt to dehumanize any citizen in the State.

The Lagos State Government is committed to the protection of the rights of all citizens including children, women and the vulnerable.

This discourse is now on the relativity of ‘decency’ and ‘morality’, and the full enforcement of this law will see virtually everyone land in court/prison.

However, there is still another group that applauded the state government for taking “swift” action to prevent moral decadence.
