Rihanna cancels France concert after Bastille Day terror attack in Nice

Rihanna’s concert in Nice, France, has been canceled following the Bastille Day attack in the French Riviera city that killed at least 84 people and injured upwards of 100 more.

Rihanna was in Nice at the time of the attack, but her rep confirmed to Billboardthat “she’s safe.” Christian Estrosi, the former mayor of Nice and current president of the PACA region, tweeted the news on Thursday. He also announced that the Nice Jazz Festival has also been canceled, and that flags would be flown at half mast in the city on Friday.

Rihanna was set to play at the Allianz Stadium in Nice Friday night as part of her Anti World Tour. She’s next schedule to perform Sunday night at the Commerzback Arena in Frankfurt, Germany.

A Bastille Day celebration turned fatal Thursday when a 15-meter truck drove into a crowd that had gathered for fireworks. The driver of the vehicle, which also had explosives and weapons inside, was killed.
