Sam Hart, the Director General of the Abia State Marketing and Quality Management Agency, has advised people to marry partners who understand them.
He used his experience as an example, narrating how his wife of 14 years is very different from him but she understands and accepts his way of life.
He said her reaction to his lifestyle during courtship made him decide they’ll be able to live together even though they have very different personalities.
He said problems arise when people pretend to accept something before marriage, then after marriage they are no longer OK with it and want to change it.
He advised people to be clear during courtship about what they are OK with and what they can’t live with.
