At a cost of five billion rupees (which is $74m, £59m or N23bn), this Hindu wedding of Brahmani Reddy and her fiancé, Rajeev Reddy, is thought to have cost MORE than Kate Middleton and Prince William’s, which is thought to have cost ‘just’ £20m.
Former politician-turned-mining mogul, Gali Janardhan Reddy picked up the tab for a five-day celebration that was said to welcome a staggering 50,000 guests and employed some 3,000 security personnel.
Along with the 3,000 bouncers, 300 police officers were hired to ensure the event goes off without a hitch.
