Borrussia Dortmund have announced the signing of Mario Gotze from Bayern Munich.
Dortmund have confirmed the signing of Gotze on a four-year contract.
The 24-year-old Germany international left Dortmund for Bayern Munich in 2013 but now rejoins the club.
“I am personally very pleased that Mario has decided to return to Borussia Dortmund. I have since his departure in 2013, always hoped that he will one day return to us,” said Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke.
Gotze is quickly looking to build bridges with the Borussia Dortmund fans as he rejoins the club he left for Bayern Munich in 2013.
Gotze says: “Three years later, at the age of 24, I look at it with different eyes. I can well understand that many fans could not understand my decision.”
