Claudio Ranieri’s men were outplayed on Merseyside, with Roberto Firmino scoring a brace and Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane also finding the net in Saturday’s rout
Liverpool thrashed champions Leicester City 3-1 at Anfield on Saturday, to record their second Premier League win of the season.
The Reds raced into a two-goal lead through Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, before Jamie Vardy pulled a goal back after capitalising on a horrendous defensive mistake from Lucas Leiva.
Claudio Ranieri’s men then pressed for a route back into the game, but Adam Lallana’s fine 56th minute strike all but extinguished their hopes of a comeback, with Firmino adding a fourth late on after an error of judgement from Kasper Schmeichel.
