Sanchez’s Dead Leg

Arsenal fans worried about the health of Alexis Sanchez won’t be comforted by the attacker’s latest tweet. It’s an update on the state of his ankle but it could have been a press shot for an upcoming episode of the Walking Dead.
In a four panel picture tweet we see the nasty stamp on Sanchez’s ankle and the effects it’s had four days later. Not only is his leg very swollen, it’s also turned blue! Not that this worries the Chile star. It was all worth it.
Copa America win
Sanchez has now won back-to-back Copa Americas with Chile. It turns out that a winner’s medal is an adequate substitute for morphine. He also won the competition’s MVP award ahead of Argentina star Lionel Messi.
The Barcelona hero, a former teammate of Sanchez, decided to retire in the immediate aftermath of the match. It isn’t fully official yet and there’s a campaign to get him to reverse any decision he’s made on the matter.
