Johansson is the youngest actor, male or female, appearing in the top 30 of Box Office Mojo’s list. She’s also the only woman in the top 10. Harrison Ford, 73, occupies the No. 1 slot, with his movies grossing a record $4.88 billion domestically throughout his 50-year career as an actor. The only other female in the top 20 is Cameron Diaz, 43, whose collective total at the domestic box office sits just above $3 billion.

The actress recently spoke about the gender wage gap in Hollywood during an interview with Cosmopolitan in May. “There’s something icky about me having that conversation unless it applies to a greater whole,” Johansson told the publication. “I am very fortunate, I make a really good living, and I’m proud to be an actress who’s making as much as many of my male peers at this stage… I think every woman has [been underpaid], but unless I’m addressing it as a larger problem, for me to talk about my own personal experience with it feels a little obnoxious. It’s part of a larger conversation about feminism in general.”

On deck for Johansson is the upcoming big-budget, live-action adaptation of a popular Japanese anime series, Ghost in the Shell, which is set to be released in 2017.
