So who among the six finalists will emerge the winner of MTN Project Fame Season 9? Could it be Pere, Winner, Kitay, Okiemute, Dapo, or Elizabeth? Well, this would be revealed at the Closing Gala Show taking place this weekend at Ultima Studios.
The finalists have indeed proved their star or quality to the world and after 8 intense weeks of fierce vocal competition it’s time for West Africa’s next superstar singer to emerge.
Indeed, it’s been an awesome ride for followers of MTN Project Fame season 9. From the introduction of RnB crooner Praise Adejo aka Praiz as one of the show’s judges to the rib cracking yet immensely talented Falz The Bahd Guy who practically hijacked one of the weekly Gala shows as well as Harrysong taking the centre stage as celebrity guest judge, there were plenty of twists and turns to keep audience on the edge of their seats.
OlatoreraOlowoyo, a die-hard fan of MTN Project Fame, finally got her long held wish fulfilled as she was selected to join Praiz, Bibie Brew and Tee-Y- Mix as a guest judge on the show.
Olowoyo, who emerged winner via the online campaign of #IRepProjectFame, was visibly impressed with the six finalists as they took to the stage to perform duets of great collabosfrom the Nigerian music industry.
Then there was also Dolapo aka MTN Projection. Dolapo was one of the unsuccessful MTN Project Fame hopefuls that auditioned in Ibadan back in June. Though her vocal skill was not enough to get her into the Academy, her antics earned her a special invitation to be a part of the show
She had the rare privilege of performing before the excited Studio audience who were thrilled by her rendition of ‘Scatter’, a song she wrote.
Now all attention will shift to the final six as the show winds down.
